Forest Animal Swimwear Fabric UV50+ – lovely design with soft colors for swimwear & UV clothing
The "Forest Friendship" fabric design depicts a cute scene of small forest animals such as deer, rabbits, and skunks, lovingly designed with flower wreaths and delicate details. The illustrations appear soft, friendly, and create a calm, dreamy atmosphere.
The light, slightly textured background in soft natural tones emphasizes the harmonious colors and makes the figures stand out beautifully. The combination of floral elements, sweet animal motifs, and fine details makes the design particularly versatile and timeless.
"Forest Friendship" combines classic forest motifs with a modern, loving design, creating a fabric that is perfect for baby and children's clothing as well as special handmade projects.

Is UV50+ swimwear only useful for children?
No, not at all. This fabric is also very practical for adults.
For example, it is suitable for:
- athletic swimwear
- bikinis and swimsuits
- UV shirts for the beach
- swimwear for holidays and water sports
- comfortable beach outfits with functional benefits
The fabric is particularly popular for children, but adults also benefit from its functional properties and additional protection.
The material is particularly well-suited for:
- T-shirts and long-sleeved shirts
- Hoodies and sweaters
- Joggers and harem pants
- Children's dresses and skirts
- Baby rompers
- Hats and snoods
- Accessories or small gift ideas
Types of Fabric and Material
Swimwear UV50+ mostly consists of a blend of synthetic fibers. Most common are:
- Polyester or Polyamide
- Elastane
This combination is important because each fiber fulfills a specific task.
Why is UV protection in fabrics important?
UV rays are a natural part of sunlight. Too much can damage the skin. Especially in summer, by the water, or on holiday, the sun's intensity is often particularly high.
Swimwear with UV50+ is so useful because it forms an additional protective layer on the covered areas.
This is particularly practical for:
- Babies
- Children
- Sensitive skin
- Longer stays outdoors
- Beach days
- Pool days
- Holidays in sunny regions
Children, in particular, move around a lot, constantly go in and out of the water, and sunscreen needs to be reapplied regularly. Clothing made from UV50+ swimwear fabric can be very helpful here.

How to sew with UV50+ swimwear fabric?
Many people first think that swimwear fabric is difficult to sew. Honestly: It's a bit different from jersey, but with the right preparation, it's quite manageable.
It's important to:
- use a stretch or jersey needle
- choose an elastic stitch
- not pull the fabric while sewing
- cut as cleanly as possible
- secure heavily stressed seams well
Because swimwear fabric is smooth and stretchy, it sometimes slips a little more than cotton fabrics. But with a little practice, it works well.
For beginners, simple patterns are often best, for example, plain swim trunks, UV shirts, or simple children's pieces.

Should you pre-wash swimwear fabric?
Swimwear fabric usually does not shrink as much as many cotton fabrics. Nevertheless, pre-washing can be useful.
Why?
- any production residues are removed
- the fabric is immediately prepared for processing
- you can immediately see how the fabric behaves after the first wash
If you want to play it safe, pre-washing is therefore not a bad idea.
